Life, exactly how do you define this complex word? Some say it is what the society makes it, while some others say it is what you want it to be. But I guess it’s a mix of the two. Though there are people of either kind, majority prefer to live their lives enjoying it in a way that does not adversely affect anyone around.
Until a few weeks even I had thought that my life is what I want it to be, and that I should be the only one who has the power to determine anything that would affect me. But now I know that am wrong. Man is indeed a 'social animal', no matter what he tries to do with his life.
Never depend on anyone other than your parents more than you need to. The so called others might help you, but how can you be so sure that it is whole-hearted? I wish there was some kind of machine that tells us how genuine a person is, life would be so much better. I am a person who always needs someone in my nearest surroundings to rely on. Though I say I love to spend time alone, loneliness is not something that is good for me.
To put it in my friend’s words, I am like the Moon that needs the Earth to depend on, no matter how much the Earth is dependent on the Sun just like the other planets. The planets signify the other possible criteria that a person could possibly depend on, and we could say the scientists who are constantly analysing the whole universe are like the crazy people in the society who have their eyes and ears fixed on other people’s life. But who is the Sun? It is the supreme power, and could symbolize either one’s parents or God himself.
But why are some people so concerned about others’ lives if they don’t mean to do something productive that would have a positive impact? Interfere only if you mean to help, however small your offer might be. Digging out the distressing thoughts from someone’s mind, placing them in the open, and letting that person bleed seeing his feelings raw is the most cruel act that anyone can engage in. This is what our society has come to.
When will all this change? This is just one of the few things that are causing the values passed down to us from our ancestors to decay at the roots. An all round cleaning spree is of great need to purge the society of all these impurities, which if left untouched would only spread its arms wide to poison the innocence still left untouched.
